This project included the refurbishment of an existing ward at Epsom & St Helier University Hospital to provide a new Intensive Care Unit and seven-storey life enclosure & lift.

To ensure that the ICU would be open in March 2020 for COVID patients, the works to this section of the project were accelerated and completed in time and to a high standard.

This was accompanied by new isolation rooms with medical pendants and glazed air-locked doors, and new full-height Whiterock was applied to the walls with vinyl flooring.

2no new Air Handling units were provided as part of the work, including a seven-storey lift enclosure for an evacuation lift. As part of the requirements, a new Uninterrupted Power Supply was also installed.
